VG10 is also known as "V10 Gold". The high carbon stainless steel "V Gold No. 10" of Japan's "Takefu Special Steel" is "V Gold", which is the best grade of steel.
VG10 is a high-carbon stainless steel with elements such as C (carbon), Cr (chromium), Mo (molybdenum), V (vanadium), and Co (cobalt) added to the strictly screened high-purity raw material (Virgin Steel), containing 1% Carbon, 15% Chromium, 1% Molybdenum, 0.2% Vanadium, and 1.5% Cobalt. The hardness can reach 60-62 HRC after heat treatment.
VG10 steel knife offers excellent edge retention, high toughness, high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and easy to sharpen.
